Re: FLW Columbia River Pro's
Should be a post spawn bite. You'd see bigger bags brought in if the tourney were held now instead of in 3 weeks. That said, it'll still be a great tournament.

Re: When is it time to move?
Nothing I can add to what's been said above, except one thing. Whatever your choice, stay or go, fish like you know you made the right decision. Don't waste your time by second guessing yourself. Make a decision, and have confidence in it, not doubting it.

Re: THANK YOU Dan at ReelEx!!!
I'll ditto that post! I shipped my 7 reels to Dan on a Tuesday from up here in Washington State, and I had them back at my door just 3 days later on Friday. I finally got the chance to use them this weekend, and like stated above, they cast as if they're brand new reels. Thanks Dan!

Re: Fish Attractants, Need your feedback
Do I use them? Yes, I do, occasionally. Especially if I'm using sun screen or bug repellant on myself. I have found something that's very interesting though. I've fished a lot of tournaments as a co-angler, and have fished with some pretty big names. I've fished with guys like David Dudley, George C...

Re: BASS Rule against culling dead fish! WON Bass??? FLW??
I specifically asked this question to Chris Jones at the fish off at Amistad last winter. His response was, and I quote, "It is legal to cull a dead fish, as long as it is not against the rules of the state the event is being held in". So, in California, ya can't do it. In Texas, it's lega...

Re: Amistad info anyone?
John, If you call "Patch", at 830-774-0444, he'll give you the information you're looking for. Patch has a tackle shop that he runs out of his pole barn down there, and he's what would appear in the dictionary if you looked up "Southern Hospitality". I had the pleasure of getting...

Re: BASS Elites
Well Rich, you missed out. I was fortunate to draw George Cochran on the first day of the East/West Fishoff. I'll tell you what, they don't call him "Gentleman George" for nothing. We blew an engine not 5 minutes after blastoff and lost about 2 hours or so of fishing time. It was obvious h...

Re: Why No Seatbelts in BassBoats?
Another thing to think about. Do you really want to be locked down to a seat when you get in some rough water? Think about some of the waves that we encounter, and how the impact from slamming down on a wave can send pain right up your spine. That's some pretty serious jarring, and I like to be able...

Re: FLW NG Lake Mead NUMBERS
Whoa! Those numbers are not good at all. I love the fact that the FLW Series is now on the West Coast, and to date I've fished every event, including the East/West fishoff. However, I'm curious to see if there are others that are in the same boat as I'm in. I'm pretty fortunate to have a job that gi...

Re: FLW friday...shots fired
I saw this guy. My day 2 partner and I idled past his boat, and I mean we were MAYBE doing 5 mph, more like 3 or 4. First thing I hear is this loud horn screeching from his boat, then out comes this crazy man screaming and cussing at us. He woulda made a sailor blush! My first reaction is to get up,...

Re: Tri-Cites to Russo's(drive time)
Jim, According to my "Microsoft Streets and Trips" softwear, from Kennewick to Russo's is 12 hours on the nose. If ya figure an hour for fuel stops, quick eats, and pee stops, I'd give yourself 13. Now if ya drive like Speed Racer, you might cut it down by an hour. I'll wave at ya when I s...

Re: Havasu Stren/ what do you do when........
Mike, As former Seahawks coach Chuck Knox used to say, "Ya gotta play the hand you're dealt". I've fished out of the back in the 4 FLW Series and East/West fishoff myself, so I can understand your point of view, and to an extent some of your frustration when you get a less than favorable d...

Wanted: Pro (or two) to practice with at Amistad
Just wanted to float my name out there in case there's any pro's who are fishing the East/West fish-off on Amistad that need a good net boy during practice. Ok, I'd like to fish a little too, but I promise not to get in your way. Thanks in advance!

Cannon blasts at FLW on the Columbia
Dewayne, you just gave me a chuckle. I remember sitting in that marina, looking at that cannon, and thinking, "Oh, those poor people that are sleeping in that motel. They're in for a rude awakening in about 5 minutes". BOOOOM....BOOOOM!!! I swear, every single occupied room on that south s...

Re: Help! Which boats do Tall People own?
I'm 5'7", and when I first bought my Bass Cat FTD, I felt like I had to really reach forward for the steering wheel and also my hotfoot. I'm used to it now, but I remember thinking, "this boat is definately made for taller people". The room behind the consoles in a Cat is pretty spacey.

Knot for attaching flouro to braid?
I never use braid except for topwater applications and heavy cover. I'm interested in trying the braid/flouro leader application. This begs the question, what knot do you use to attach your flouro leader to the braid? Blood knot?

Re: Interesting link about the FLW boat wraps
There's lots of stock left. I worked in Kennewick yesterday and stopped by Sportsman's Warehouse to see what was left. While some of the Lucky Craft baits were sold out, there were still LOTS of baits left. I even bought two, a topwater and a rattle trap type bait. Also, there were lots of Outlaw ba...

I know this is a public forum and some surgeries are of a private nature, but I thought I'd ask as to why Mark is getting surgery. He's planning to room with me at the FLW Series in Kennewick. Mark, if you're reading this, know that you're in my prayers also. P.M. me if you get a chance.

Re: No More Co Anglers
In theory, I agree, and I'm even a co-angler. These guys have a lot on the line, so any advantage gained by knowledge from a local co-angler seems to me to be an unfair advantage. That said, there's no way you're going to find 200 people that know and understand the rules to act as an official obser...
