Just got a call from Jay Yelas reminding me about the tournament on the Columbia River. It was good to hear his voice although he did not respond to any of my questions. Maybe he was busy and had more calls to make?

The Columbia river is a great fishery and the problem I have heard for right now is that there are more non-boaters than Pro's, so if you are considering it, give it a shot as it is a good opportunity on a good body of water.

Ever wondered what the local clubs do on the Columbia...simply pull up columbiariverbassmasters on the club site on Westernbass for some great photos and stories. Got to love those 4# smallies this time of year (or anytime!!) and 18# limits in our May event!! Regards to all my ole Calif. bassers!! Jim M.

Not sure how many 4 lb fish we will see in June? But one of those would make a nice kicker.Jim Miller wrote:Ever wondered what the local clubs do on the Columbia...simply pull up columbiariverbassmasters on the club site on Westernbass for some great photos and stories. Should be a post spawn bite. You'd see bigger bags brought in if the tourney were held now instead of in 3 weeks. That said, it'll still be a great tournament.
