A 16ft is a great size for the delta. I run a 16ft superguide v-16 and I can take it anywhere in the delta from rio vista to flipping the shallows. You can take it from franks tract to wherever.

I would go with the curados. With curados being sold for 140 now since the new models are coming out thats even more of a reason to go with a shimano. I have 4 of the curados in the 201 and I have never been happier and shimanos always seem to last forever.

I always throw straight braid when throwing swim baits just loosen your drag just a lil to acomidate for the zero stretch.

I throw a lucky craft pointer jerkbait and the size depends on the current flow. Big for faster current small for a slower tide.

Just type in curado 200 or 201e7 and they come up. I got all four of mine off of ebay and the best deal on there I found is 140 and free shipping. I got all my reel orders within 2 to 3 days. I love ebay!!!

We went in on high tide and did so well on frogs that we didn't realize that the tide had already turned big time and it was a huge pain getting out. But that's part of the fun.

Don't get me wrong I love to frog fish 14 mile but when your in there on the wrong tide its almost impossible to get out on the park side of the slouch I feel bad for the owners who can't even launch there boats cause of all the weeds back there. They look like they would work pretty good. I like the trolling motor bracket one with a 12 ft pole. I fished in my buddies boat and he has the talon by minnkota and every time he puts that thing down it sounds pretty loud in my opnion. I would love to have a power pole but 900 bucks for a basic set...

I use braid for everthing on the delta except for spinning gear which is 12 pnd floro 65 power pro for flippin and 30 power pro for cranking and spinners and everthing else. Its works great for me just keep a fat tip marker on board for coloring line when it fades.

Yeah just be careful and check it out on low tide just to b safe. I saw a guy nail one of the posts out by the hilton property one year sounded like he ripped his whole motor off.
