Re: Oroville bass with fungus

When they are digging for crawdads the sores are on the underside of the jaw. The fish we caught were covered from head to tail on both sides with large sores. Really sick looking fish, but they bit, so they must look worse than they feel.

Nothing is ever expected, I am fishing anyway, if someone wants to offer something great, I will take it if I feel they can afford it. Some of you guys 50 - 60 bucks! WOW! Team events sometimes we take my boat and I pay, sometimes we take his boat and he pays.

I really do not mind sharing a spot or area sometimes, but it depends on the situation. If we are on a bank, but just fishing one specific spot, I do not care if someone fishes through and keeps going, but if your working down a bank and some jackass flys in 300' in front of you, that is just incons...

I had one last month at pedro on a swimbait that was easily over twenty pounds and probably 36 - 40 " long, we were fishing a tournament though, so I did not take the time to snap a picture or measure it, but I did hold it, while getting my bait back, in hindsight I wish I would have pulled out...

Sorry Phil - I would stock the ROF 5 and ROF 12 in Rainbow trout, or the "new" Hitch color. The reaction strike is a cheaper bait no doubt, but remember most of the times you get what you pay for, and it is indeed the subtle things like kick and motion during the fall that make the differe...

Phil - I have caught them on all four, and color means more to the guy in the boat than it does to the fish, as some of my oldest huds have almost no paint on them, and the fish do not seem to care. What makes a difference is some of the modifications that some of us make to the bait, so we can pres...

Matt is 100% Right, not all big fish come on swimbaits, the jig is still right up there as far as catching good numbers of large fish. A swimbait is just one more tool to use! Unless we are going for it, like the 100 percent tourney, I always have a jig and a carolina rig in my boat.
