Re: Ca Delta Whopper Plopper - Video
I gotta jump in on the video length discussion. In my opinion, dreamchaser has a valid point about the length of the video.........IF your intended audience is of the type who would prefer the shorter videos. This goes back to your goal with these productions. To me, it seems like the product you ar...

That's the definition of fun fishing. Also gotta love these youtube sensations paving their way in the bass fishing world through great video, editing, ideas, etc.....all without "tournament" fishing.

Re: Ca Delta Whopper Plopper - Video
I think there should be more to an the answer than just free or not free. It's very clear you put a bunch of work and time into the production of these videos (drone, editing, time, etc). With that in mind, you should go with whichever option that will facilitate your ultimate goal with these videos...

I had a couple 30 plus inch stripers follow up my D-bomb while pitching tulles on the Molekummne a mile north of Tower Park. Not sure if that's normal for them to be that far up this time of year...but I got a good look at them right next to the boat....and they were stripers.

This won't be much of a report. We caught one fish, and did a bunch of swimming, yet I saw a pattern on the electronics that may help. This was our first trip to Berryessa, so I was pretty clueless, and our results showed. I kind of just migrated to the back of coves all day, and that's where I saw ...

Great report! We saw you at B&W Tuesday morning. I had the little boy with me. He watches your videos with me and thought it was pretty cool seeing your boat. You weren't kidding about the wind! It got kinda hairy along the east side of Franks as we were running to get to Old River. Tuesday morn...

Thanks for the advice. My son and I went out from 6 till 6 today and did pretty good. Similar to most of our past trips. About 20 fish total, everything 1-3 lbs with one 6er thrown in. We found a pretty good frog bite this morning on the high tide. They were really slurping it. No explosion, no airb...

As a dedicated cranker, I used to love low tide because I would scrap the edges of weedlines fishing parallel. However, through the years the places with weedlines changed and the weedlines went away. Now I target the high tide throwing lipless crankbaits over the top of the weeds. That's what I'm ...

I'll second the above in that I've had the most success (relative....not great success) on a green pumpkin body/black blade/swimbait with a chartreuse tail. When I see bluegill on the delta....all I see are little glowing tails. With that said....my son and I were taking a break the other day, parke...

Wanted to pick the brains of those who know the Delta. I've only been fishing it for a couple months now, and my struggles are coming on the higher tides. If the fish are not busting the frog, I can't find them punching or however else. As soon as the tide drops out about half way till half way up t...

Ridiculously shady proposal. Hopefully the Washington state fishing community will not fall for that horse turd.

I've been throwing the River2Sea Whopper plopper buzz on the Delta for a couple months now, and I love throwing it on a 7'2" Lews Team HM85 Heavy with moderate action. It probably fishes like a "heavier" medium heavy, but I love the flex in the tip with the double buzz. Best way to de...

Read everything you can find specifically on tidal bass fishing. Of course, there is plenty of articles and videos from the Delta, but also read up on the Potomac river. Very similar fishery, minus the monsters that swim here in the Delta. The James river is another tidal fishery that has many simil...

Late report, but in time for the weekend. I fished White slough all day on Wednesday, from one end to the other. Threw the hollow body frog and a Strike King rage toad the majority of the time. The pattern was hollow body on the mats (of course), and the toad in the areas with clumps of elodea, not ...

Re: Frogs on a mat scaring fish
I think they might be carp. We were fishing a big mat the other day that and the same thing was happening. I would be hopping the frog along, and the mat would swirl as if a fish was spooked. But we also caught 15 bass off that mat at the same time, and they were killing the frog. So, putting two an...

Sweet, good job. I got a nice one there too, about a week prior over on White's. She went airborne and I fought her over the weeds, kinda surfed her as much as possible so she wouldn't dive down. The Dobyn's Champion frog rod comes in handy for that, and the new KastKing Speed Demon 9:3 reel w/ 65 ...

My son and I fished the Delta the day after you. We had a similar frog bite, but no bigger fish. Lake Berryessa boat inspections?
What, if any, boat inspections exist for Lake Berryessa? I'm googling it, and have found some old info on mussel inspections, but nothing current. Should I expect some sort of inspection if I were to put in Capell Cove ramp next week? If so, what are they looking for? Thanks!

I'm not positive, but I think I saw quite a few areas in Old river south east of Franks that looked pelletized today. Big areas of dark grass, that looked less than alive. I'm new to the Delta, so I'm not completely sure of what I saw, but it was definitely different than surrounding areas. Also, so...

July 3rd Delta report
Took my son out early this morning, hoping to beat the crowds. We got a few hours of calm before the pleasure boater chaos started. It was kind of funny actually. The further up the sloughs we went, the more bass boats we saw. Obviously the bass fishermen were trying to get away from all the ski boa...

Delta rookie here, but with three trips under the belt from B&W marina always heading south, the answer is "yes" right now. We fished Old River below Franks today and it was definitely less clear than the Molekumne (sp?), Potato slough, Georgianne slough areas.
