Always good to pull the prop every 5 trips or so, just to check for line and debris that can lead to seal damage. Easy and quick prev. maint. that can save alot of bucks and breakdowns, check the troll prop too !!

Ya think "the lake is back" ? I don't think that lake has been unhealthy for a long time, the fishing pressure has hurt the bite. Those fish were inactive with little pressure since late fall till now , movin' up for pre spawn they have not been pressured and are now getting stuck and take...

I only use braid for frogs , for punching maybe yes but usually no, also bad around wood it cuts in..tough on rods and rod guides too and it can break rods . I still use mono and floro sometimes. Works for me,

Further up the road but, Blue Cypress is a beautiful lake check out Middletons Fish Camp (just inland from Vero Beach) tho I haven't been there in years, speaking of years past Stick Marsh and Farm 13 were hot in the early 90's might be worth a look for a guide trip.

What has my interest are the Lithium batterys Aaron Martens is using he said they weigh only 28lbs apiece, have lots of juice for a long day and recharge in 2hours he did admit they are very spendy, EXPENSIVE, but have a 5 year warranty and expected life of 10 plus years wonder what the actuall cost...

The best buy on Sunline floro is the Guide Special, more line and less money. When I first fished a Rico I forgot the rod I tied the bait on had floro and just didn't work right, so what is the best floro line for top water baits ? Just jokin'....

I havent heard of that one in a while, a good memory tho, the trailer trim angle is higher than a proper running trim so when done running trim to trailer is just that, for pulling the boat out.

I don't even carry a net in my boat and rarely use them, exept on the few occaisions when I fish a tourney here and there. I lip land my fish mostly some times belly lift and swing smaller fish but never bounce any fish.

Frabill makes some really good nets and quality mesh isn't hard on the fish or their fins and tail. I Used to use a heavy rubber net way back they were easy on the fish but slow in the wate and didn't have much sag or depth, M Reynolds used to call it a pancake flipper!

Congrats to Gerald he led the tourney wire to wire, although he had a AOY in BASS he had not posted a tourney W in 167 events. His non boater won as well he sacked a 3 fish coangler limit for 21 lbs. Bobby Lane sacked up a 26 lb limit and G needed 21 plus to win he sacked 25 plus!

Call Don Iovino he is Lowrance all the way (which excludes Hummingbird who makes good stuff in the U.S.) but is a master and one of the best with electronics ever. He can set you up and fine tune anything you have with personal service, he is easy to contact and speak with as well.
