Lake El Salto - I know its in Mexico - but still should be going off with pre-spawners. I would also throw this question out on to the texas fishing forums and see what they think about lake fork or florida for that time of year - I would think that the areas closer to the equator are the places to be

Texas gets my vote Falcon, Amistad stillsafe on the U.S. side, Choke Canyon, and Fork excellent fisheries too if the weather is warm. Florida has the warmest weather and water but the weather has been vary unstable there this year and in my opionion is a much beter saltwater destination. Can you change it to March? thats a great month.

St. Clair in Feb? Think not!! Go to Falcon, TX and roll up 30lbs a day on the bubba baits plus enjoy the weather!!

Amistad and Falcon are both huge lakes, Way more than enough new water and fish for a month . You lucky dog it is good to have choices and opportunity, could (should) be the month of a lifetime. Best of luck to ya!

TOHO FLORIDA........... 8)

On Jan. 17, 2001, Dean Rojas pulled 45 pounds and 2 ounces of bass from Lake Tohopekaliga to set the Bassmaster tournament record for heaviest one-day catch. The record still stands.

Now, almost exactly 10 years later, the ideal fishing conditions Rojas tapped into are brewing again on Toho. Coincidentally, the “perfect storm” is happening just in time for the Jan. 20-22 Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Southern Open out of Kissimmee, Fla., the event that kicks off the 2011 Bassmaster season.
