Alaska 2023 — Mid-August

I recently sent you an email describing the trip we plan to take to Alaska next year. I’ve spoken to my friend Nanci Morris Lyon at Bear Trail Lodge and we’ve decided on an early August visit. Right now the dates are August 7-11, although it may end up getting shifted a day or two in either direction. Either way, that’s prime time for the hard-fighting silver salmon as they run up the Naknek River. Several of you have already expressed interest in joining us, so I wanted to give you the opportunity to lock in 2022 pricing by booking NOW. She’ll offer our group 3- or 5-day packages during that time period — which includes not only silvers on the home river but also unlimited flyouts for trophy rainbows, grayling and other species — so if you know you want to go let’s get you on the books NOW.

Once we have a tentative group set, we also plan to book some other activities, like halibut fishing out of Seward, dogsledding in Girdwood, and various other options. I promise you that you will not run out of things to do during the the long summer days in the last frontier.
