The search for the best amateur bass fishing team in the west begins anew with the opening of the Future Pro Tour Tournament Trails 2006 season! The west’s largest and most exciting amateur bass fishing organization, opens it’s 2006 season March 18th on Lake Berryessa, an enormous Napa valley impoundment loaded with large and smallmouth bass that seem to welcome with open arms the early season angler.
It seems like just yesterday when the Future Pro Tour crowned it’s 2005 champions Wayne Antoine Sr. and Wayne Antoine Jr. on Clearlake last October, as their impressive two day, 40 pound limit of bass rocked the scales and earned them the prestigious Future Pro Tour Classic title, and the keys to a fully-rigged Ranger Boat with Evinrude Outboard. But that was then… and this is now! An though their victory was one well deserved, the Antoine’s will tell you that they won’t be resting on their past laurels.
“We can’t wait for the season to begin” expressed a jubilant Wayne Sr. whose partner is his son Wayne Jr. “The competitive aspect of this tour is addicting…and the camaraderie and friendship between those that participate is what keeps you coming back”!
Wayne’s words no doubt echo the feelings of many anglers that fish the Future Pro Tour as they anxiously await the season’s first event. And the Future Pro Tour stands ready to deliver all the fun and excitement it’s anglers have come to expect with many new exciting features added for 2006.

For those that don’t know, the Future Pro Tour is an amateur level team circuit that offers a great opportunity to learn the basics of competitive bass fishing, meet lots of great people, and just have fun. Our goal simply put, is to provide a venue in which entry/amateur level anglers can improve on their bass fishing skills in a friendly yet competitive environment. Requiring only a nominal entry fee, we encourage all participants to share information, and be part of making our events a fun experience for all. v The Future Pro Tour is a team format and features 2 divisions – Div I (0-90hp) and Div II (91hp and above), where anglers in each division fish for that division’s prize money. At the end of the year, teams with the most points from each division will qualify for the end of year – Future Pro Only – tournament of champions dubbed the Future Pro Tour Classic!
