NEW YORK –Angler Rick Bach lost his dad to cancer – so he's on a mission to encourage all anglers to take extra precautions when on the water.Bach is teaming up with the fishing editors of Outdoor Sportsman Group – Integrated Media with a series of online articles aimed at educating anglers.

"After losing my father to skin cancer, I've become determined to make a difference in his memory. That's why I'm going to fish my way around Florida to raise awareness, and with the help of the folks at Buff and the online editors at Florida Sportsman, In-Fisherman, Fly Fisherman, and Game & Fish Magazine, raise as many dollars as I can for the Melanoma Research Foundation," said Bach in the article "Catch a Cure: Sun Protection Gear."

With a series of articles that educate outdoor enthusiasts on how best to prevent skin cancer, Bach is taking his followers on an exciting journey to fish some of Florida's most productive waters. His odyssey also honors his father - lost to skin cancer a year ago - by bringing a critical message to outdoor enthusiasts about how to enjoy the outdoors this summer while staying protected against the sun.
