Atchafalaya Basin Bassmaster Series Event Rescheduled

Morgan City, La. – Due to unsafe conditions on the Atchafalaya River, BASS announced today that the ESPN Outdoors Bassmaster Series event scheduled for February 13 will be rescheduled for June 26.

“The river is four and a half feet over flood stage, and more rain is expected this weekend,” explained BASS Tournament Manager Deb Wilkinson. “We’ve spoken with officials from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and the Port Authority and believe it’s in the best interest of the safety of our anglers to reschedule the tournament.”

The Atchafalaya Basin event will now be held on Sunday, June 26, 2005. BASS Tournament Department officials will notify registered anglers regarding the rescheduling.
