The world-class anglers will be signing autographs, posing for photos and offering fishing tips to store visitors during the two-hour event, which precedes the Wal-Mart FLW Tour’s season-opening event, presented by Kellogg’s, on Lake Travis in Austin Feb. 15-18. The total purse for the Lake Travis tournament is $1 million, making the event the most lucrative tour-level bass tournament hosted in Texas in 2007.
Among the pros participating will be Kellogg’s pro Clark Wendlandt of Leander, Texas, who twice won the Land O’Lakes Angler of the Year award on the FLW Tour. Wendlandt has long been one of the most recognized anglers on tour, and has accumulated well over $1 million in career FLW Outdoors earnings. Wendlandt will be speaking at the Wal-Mart store located at 201 Walton Way in Cedar Park. Joining him at the Cedar Park store will be A&W pro Robert Pearson, Hamburger Helper pro David Cooke and Fujifilm pro Sam Swett.
