Help a kid catch a bluegill sunfish, memories and more at the Family Fishing Area Saturday and Sunday during the Arizona Game and Fish Department Outdoor Expo, presented by Shikar Safari Club International.
The best part? The Expo is free admission and parking.

A big, bubbling tank will be lined with equally bubbly kids – and all ages will have an opportunity to try catching a bluegill sunfish. The area also will include booths about fishing education, crayfish, where to fish in Arizona, and our Community Fishing Program.
The family-friendly Expo will be held March 30-31 at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility, just west of Interstate 17 on Carefree Highway. The Expo is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
For some kids, it will be their first fishing experience.
AZGFD staff and volunteer experts will help remove fish from hooks and ensure a memorable experience for beginning and novice anglers.
For the fifth straight year, the presenting sponsor of this year’s expo is Shikar Safari Club International. Gold sponsors are OneAZ Credit Union and Sig Sauer.
