'Bro Road Show' tour kicks off in November "to bring you the best of ice"

ICE BELT, USA – Beginning in early-November, legendary ice fishing pro Brian "Bro" Brosdahl's Bro Road Show will be making regular stops around the Upper Midwest. The ever-affable Bro has toured the Ice Belt for the past sixteen winters visiting retail locations in multiple states, from Scheels to Mill's Farm Fleet to Cabela's, Bass Pro Shops and numerous independents in between.

Bro will share his boundless enthusiasm and unmatched ice fishing expertise during the ever-popular seminars and in-store training sessions for sales staff, and still leave plenty of time to mingle with customers. Known for his easy-going personality and jovial nature, Bro loves to share fishing stories and has a genuine interest in what others have experienced on the water. Once you get to know Bro, you'll understand why his fans flock to see him every year.

Perhaps nobody knows this ice fishing icon as well as Noel Vick, lifelong friend of Bro's and president of Traditions Media, a PR-marketing firm with lengthy roots in the ice fishing industry. "Bro has a gift for inviting folks into his inner circle with a simple handshake, a laugh and perhaps a tip related to the fish in their home waters, which more than likely, Bro's fished at some point in his travels," Vick explained.

If you're in the market for some new ice fishing gear pay attention: Retailers schedule his visits to coincide with special sales and promotions, so you can load-up on the best gear available after Bro points you in the right direction.

"We always love to have Bro in our store, he provides excellent customer interaction for us, and his knowledge of the sport and product are tough to beat," explained Marketing Manager of the Rogers, MN Cabela's store Jordon Wakefield. "His upbeat and welcoming approach really encourages people to stop by and visit with him whenever he is in the store."

Todd Heitkamp, owner of Dakota Angler in Sioux Falls, SD, is emphatic when asked about Bro's appeal, "The knowledge that he passes on to all those who come and see him is unbelievable. He's a super promoter for us and the tackle we sell, but he's really a great friend to the entire fishing industry, from individual anglers on up to the companies he represents, including Aqua-Vu, Frabill and Plano."

"When I start planning for our annual Ice Institute, Bro is the first person I contact," Heitkamp added.

Ben Gibbs, President of Aqua-Vu had this to say: "Bro is a legitimate endorser of our underwater cameras and the other products he promotes. It's not in Bro's DNA to promote gear you won't find in his garage, fish house and truck. Bro fishes with our stuff. He believes in it."

In recent years, Bro has noticed a marked increase in consumer willingness to buy premium-quality gear. "I'm seeing more people who want to be comfortable, and they're willing to spend $700 to $800 on a quality insulated portable shelter. Same thing with high-end underwater Aqua-Vu cameras and first-rate rods and reels. They want premium and are no longer so deterred by price, as in the past."

"And, it's incredible how many folks that are new to the sport will spend two or three thousand bucks all at once to fully outfit themselves with a Frabill Bro SideStep shelter, clothing, electronics, power auger and a bunch of tackle! It motivates me. It's my personal goal to bring you the best of ice. To take away the mystery and make the process easier," Bro explains enthusiastically. "I mean, look at the I-Float suit by Frabill.

"It won Best Technical Apparel category at ICAST last year. This is a suit that is USCG-approved, for total piece of mind any time you're on hardwater. Frabill and I were the first to bring straight line reels to the ice fishing market – the list goes on. These are the things that ice anglers have dreamt of for years, and now we have them. It's truly awesome."

Bro knows a hot new item when he sees it and he's confident the new Aqua-Vu Micro 5.0 Revolution is just that, revolutionary. "Aqua Vu makes it a habit of blowing our minds with innovation, and the new Micro 5.0 Revolution is the latest hit. It fits right in your palm and has a really cool feature called the Integrated Revolution Camera Reel System that allows you to reel the camera cable up, so it doesn't get tangled. The Pro model even has a built-in DVR for recording and an on-screen digital display for temperature as well as zoom capability. Trust me, this is a truly amazing tool that will help you enjoy your outdoor experience to the fullest."

"Ice fishing has become as much about the culture as the pursuit itself," says Bro.

"People see ice fishing in the media and they want the lifestyle; to be a part of this sport… it's got an allure and a camaraderie that's unique in fishing. In boats, people want to fish in solitude, but on the ice, people are drawn to each other… to stop by and talk. It's one of the things that keeps growing the sport."
