CDFW Challenge ends on Sept. 11

Hey students, don’t forget to share your pictures this weekend for CDFW’s Office of Justice, Equity, Diversity biodiversity and California Community Colleges challenge for community college students anywhere in California. It’s easy to participate!
1. Follow us on social media: @CaliforniaDFW on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and/or LinkedIn.
2. Post a picture on your own social media of an example of biodiversity where you live, work, or go to school. (For example, you might take a single photo of different types of flowers growing in the wild, a series of photos of different flowers, or a photo of a pollinator on a flower.) Submissions should depict more than one plant and/or animal species, and species should be native to California. Be creative!
3. In your photo caption, include the species pictured and the location where the photo was taken, and tell us either about the species pictured, or why you believe biodiversity is important.
4. Be sure to add the hashtags #biodiversityforall and #CABiodiversityDay, and tell us which community college you attend!
After the Challenge ends on Sept. 11, CDFW will choose several photos to highlight on our own social media, as well as to feature on the digital photo wall in the beautiful new California Natural Resources building in downtown Sacramento (resources.ca.gov/About-Us/our-new-headquarters).
We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
