Fisherman's Warehouse presents a Fishing Accessories Gift Guide for the Angler in Your Life
Tools, storage solutions, and other accessories make your life easier. Countless products are deserving of this list, but the five below have stood the test of time on the water and are worthy of any bass angler’s wish list.
Flambeau Ultimate Tuff Tainer - $8.99-16.99
The name “Tuff Tainer” says it all, and these boxes from Flambeau are solid without costing a fortune. They are available in all of the popular box sizes that we all use, and they hold up very well.
My tackle storage is full of these boxes, and they have all stayed intact without busting, plus they are waterproof and rustproof thanks to Flambeau’s Zerust.
Boomerang Tool “The Snip” Basic Line Cutter - $11.99-14.99
Cutting line is a common thing when you are on the water. Switching baits and retying frayed line are so frequent, and it always helps to have good cutters nearby. “The Snip” from Boomerang Tool can be snapped right to your belt loop with the included carabiner, so it is always handy.
One of the best things about these tools is how efficient they are. You can cut braided line with ease, and they are equally useful for monofilament and fluorocarbon lines.
Rapala Touch Screen Scale - $49.99
Eight years ago, I included this exact scale in a similar gift guide and stand behind that pick. That original scale is still kicking, weighing fish, and working as good as ever. It is almost time to replace it with another one, not because it stopped working, but the screen is starting to be hard to read due to my neglect and plenty of scratches.
One of the best things about this scale is how accurate it is. It allows you to keep track of all of your fish for that day, and that helps immensely with culling. I always know what my weight for the day is, and there are no big surprises at weigh-in because it is incredibly accurate.
Berkley Premium Boat Light - $49.99
If you ever fish after dark, even a few times a year, this light is worth it. It is effortless to use and gives you plenty of light for after dark fishing. It also has suction cups for easy mounting.
Z-Man Bag Binder - $11.99
I’ve had plenty of different soft-sided storage binders over the years, and one thing that inevitably happens is that the zipper gets damaged. It usually either gets messed up from the water or the salt used in soft plastic baits, and once the zipper goes, it is basically worthless. The Z-Man Bag Binder does not have zippers and includes zinc-plated storage rings and a buckle system.
One of the best parts about this binder is how easy it is to store your Z-Man plastics. Over the past few years, Z-Man has added two small holes on both of the bottom corners of their plastics. They are meant for this bag binder and make it easy to keep your baits organized.
These five items are sure to get you more organized and make your fishing more enjoyable this coming season.
