EAGLETON/SPADE LAND BIG FISH AND AC SEMI-PRO WIN AT OROVILLE

Our first traveling tournament went very well. Jason Bubier and Nate Boles brought the Anglers Choice trailer, a good thing considering the rain. The rain was on and off all day. 28 boats launched at safe light. A total of 109 fish were brought to the scales. The total weight for the day was 172.28 lbs. making the average weight 1.58 pounds per fish. 15 limits were weighed in. Most anglers traveled to the north fork and/or fished the main body. The majority of the fish were caught on drop shot rigs, hula grubs, and shakin worms. Coming to the scales with the largest bag and capturing first place was the team of Kelly Eagleton and Chris Spade. Landing a total of 10.92 lbs., with the Big Bass of the tournament weighing in at 2.65 lbs. They took home $1125 dollars $845 for first and $280 for their Big Bass. Second place went to Dave Heno and John Zinda with a good limit weighing 9.49 lbs. They took home $430 for their efforts. Alax Parker and Andrew Carbone took third place with a limit if $9.29 lbs.
