Fish Monkey/Hunt Monkey Expands

Destin, Florida: Fish Monkey and Hunt Monkey have announced the internal promotion of Russ Means in a recent expansion of their management team. Formerly the Pro Staff Manager for both brands, Means will now assume the role of Director of Operations, as both brands continue their unprecedented meteoric growth in their respective market segments.

A Georgia native and resident, Means plans to retire in May from a 29-year career in education, where he has served his state and local community as a teacher, counselor and administrator. In 2004, he earned a Doctorate degree in Education; he is married with two children. Primarily a passionate freshwater angler, Means enjoys any kind of fishing and various types of hunting as well. Among those who know him personally, Means’ product knowledge, energy and enthusiasm is contagious.

“I joined Fish Monkey in 2018 and have enjoyed watching the brand grow from a start-up to what has become one of the most well-known and well-respected brands in all of fishing,” he says. “I’m also excited with the opportunities for the Hunt Monkey brand, as we see that poised to have similar success in the hunting and outdoor markets as Fish Monkey has enjoyed in the fishing and boating world. In his newly created role as Director of Operations, Means will be responsible for managing the day-to-day business operations, allowing company founder Tim Mossberg to remain focused on sales, marketing and the always-ongoing development of new products. “I’m very excited to have Russ join the team full time,” Mossberg says. “His hands-on knowledge of the brands will help propel the company to the next level, and his commitment to customer service is second to none as well.”
