BRISTOL, Conn. - ESPN announced today that Christine Godleski has been promoted to Vice President and General Manager, ESPN Outdoors, overseeing all aspects of the company's outdoors initiative, including BASS, the worldwide authority on bass fishing; the ESPN Great Outdoor Games; and more than 1,400 hours of outdoor television programs.

As Director of Operations for the past two years, Godleski has been responsible for the daily operations of all aspects of ESPN Outdoors, including events, radio, publishing and internet.

"Christine has been an integral part of the tremendous growth we have achieved with ESPN Outdoors since its inception two years ago," said Mark Quenzel, Senior Vice President, Programming and Production. "Her leadership, vision and passion for the outdoors make her the ideal candidate to take us to the next level."

Prior to joining ESPN Outdoors in 2001, Godleski served as finance director for ESPN the Magazine and before that was director of finance and administration for Disney Consumer Products in Nordic markets.

Prior to joining The Walt Disney Company, Godleski worked at Viacom from 1988-1994 and served as an auditor, controller and manager of financial reporting and analysis for several of its divisions.

Godleski was graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 1986 with a degree in accounting.
