Yesterday, the House of Representatives passed the SHARKED Act, the first step towards mitigating shark depredation nationally.Once passed by the Senate and signed into law by President Biden, the SHARKED Act directs NOAA to create a task force to study shark depredation. The knowledge gained will be used to improve future management, education and research actions.
