State Fish Art Contest Ends April 30
WHITE BEAR LAKE, MN – With just a few days remaining, the Wildlife Forever State-Fish Art Contest® is heating up as entries pour in from across the globe. Artists in grades K-12 have until Thursday, April 30th to finalize and submit their entry for the contest.
The State Fish Art Contest, supported by Title Sponsor Bass Pro Shops, the US Forest Service and Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation, combines Art and Science to ignite the imagination of youth while they learn about fish and aquatic conservation. Students have the opportunity to win awards and international recognition while learning about fish, aquatic habitats and conservation threats like invasive species. Digital entries are now being accepted, contestants should send a scanned copy or photo of their entry to info@WildlifeForever.org to compete.
“Young people are offered a unique opportunity to connect to fishing and life under the water through the State-Fish Art Contest. These are challenging times and programs like the State-Fish Art Contest and the Wonders of Wildlife Mission Conservation will continue to engage young people in the outdoors,” said Misty Mitchell, Director of Conservation Programs at Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium.

To compete, young artists should create an original illustration of an official State-Fish Species, found at www.State-FishArt.org. Youth in 4th grade and above should also submit a creative writing piece no longer than one-page about the behavior, habitat, or conservation needs of their chosen species. You must enter to win!
