Line of the Times

Widely available, Daiwa J-Fluoro Samurai provides utmost in strength, reliability and fishability

Cypress, CA (January 7, 2021) – Cornerstone to successful angling is quality fishing line. Without it, the prospects of success are greatly diminished – lures break off, and worst of all, fish get dumped boatside before a proper net lift. That said, it should be on every angler’s list to spool up with the best fishing line possible. Enter Daiwa.

In a class all its own, Daiwa’s J-Fluoro Samurai premium fluorocarbon mainline brings invisibility, strength, reliability and high performance to anglers of all walks. The Made in Japan line is designed and manufactured to bring a new level of fishability to all, offering a multitude of sizes with varying levels of stretch and stiffness and super small diameter.

Available in 2-, 4-, 5-, 6-, 7-, 8-, 10-, 12-, 14-, 16-, 18-, 20-, 22-, and 25-pound, there’s a line weight to suit varying fishing applications. For panfish and trout anglers to bass and walleye to inshore species, the line is sure to impress with its ultra-clear and strength characteristics. All are wound on ergonomic spools with convenient filler-enabled spool protectors with a D-VEC halfway sticker located at 110 yards to inform the user of available line—enough to fill two complete reel spools.

“J-Fluoro Samurai is a pure mainline fluorocarbon,” says Daiwa Field Marketing Manager Marc Mills. “It’s in a class all its own. One big factor is very few lines have what we call a parallel line wrap where each piece of line is next to the following piece of line, rather than laying crisscross on top of the line, which causes the line to have bumps and non-conforming ridges. Those ridges and squash marks when the line is compacted on a spool can lead to performance issues. We avoid that with the parallel line wrapping in J-Fluoro Samurai’s manufacturing process.”

Mills adds: “The line is also available in a multitude of line tests, and not just to have more SKUs, but truly offer anglers small differences in line diameter that can make big differences, especially in clear water situations.”

If you’re seeking the most high-performance fluorocarbon the market has to offer, look no further than Daiwa’s J-Fluoro Samurai. It’s not just superior due the narrow small diameters. J-Fluoro Samurai lasts longer than other fluorocarbons on your reel, not stretching or drying out.
