Megabass Previews PARABUG and More

Megabass will introduce a number of new products at this year's ICAST. Here's a sneak peek at three more!

FX ONETEN (Prototype)

The FX-ONETEN is the newly evolved tournament-spec model of the immensely popular and incredibly successful VISION ONETEN. With its variable bill system, air resistance during casting is reduced, resulting in dramatically increased flight distances. When jerking, the moving lip creates varied irregular movements. These dynamic three-dimensional movements will make past jerk baits seem obsolete.

SPARK SHAD

Jointly developed by lunker hunter Tetsuya Nakamura and Megabass, the Spark series represents a synergy of trophy bass experience and manufacturing prowess. Now, after painstaking testing, the SPARK SHAD is revealed! A shad-shaped paddle-tail worm, the body evokes thehull-shape of a boat, which helps increases linear stability. With an extremely sensitive tail designed to produce natural high-frequency vibrations, the SPARK SHAD will keep fish committed to chasing it over long distances without hesitation or suspicion, increasing bite rates.
Furthermore, the chest-fin and flat-back design add to the SPARK SHAD’s stability, allowing the angler to stay on the target path with ease. The subtle rolling-motion of the body will lure in cautious fish as if it were real bait. In addition, this rolling motion doesn’t send the hook point flying around, increasing hookup rates. Partner it with the SPARK RIG as schooling bait, or use it by itself. Please experience the effect of its real cruising-action for yourself.

PARA BUG

The PARABUG is a softbait that imitates a falling insect. Combining high buoyancy, high strength VIOS material and natural feathers, it simulates a struggling insect that has fallen on the water's surface. The extremely thin paddle-legs efficiently transmit vibrations to the water's surface, and help the PARABUG create an amazingly strong effect for its size. The ribs on the belly are designed to capture air to increase buoyancy, letting it sway and create delicate ripples on the water.
The cup shapes on the sides provide resistance to even small rod movements, tightly controlling the lure's travel distance. This makes it possible to stay on top of a location to target reluctant fish. With strong rod movement the cups will cause splashing, drawing attention.
