Is my husband moving out of the country?

The Pull of Panama is Crazy

I have a feeling that in a few years I may need to travel to Central America if I want to spend time with my husband. Ever since we first went to Panama in 2021, it’s all he can talk about. He loves the whole experience, but for a bass guy raised on topwaters, the popping for tuna is the ultimate draw.

On our five trips to Sport Fish Panama Island Lodge, we’ve taken serious saltwater bass anglers, hard core bass tournament dudes, and complete novices and they’ve all been amazed by the experience. The scenery, culture, food, accommodations and the fishing are first class.

That’s why I want to make sure that you don’t miss your chance to join us. We’re heading back down there from May 23-29, 2026, and there are still some spots left. Whether you’re a single, a pair or a group, we can probably make it work. That is PRIME topwater popping time and after chasing the schools around all day and fighting big fish you’ll have to save enough energy to savor the food at night.

I have plenty of different fisheries that I love, but if you’re a surface lure freak, this is a can’t-miss deal. If you’re interested, please email me or call any time at (703) 932-6299.

I have a (non-fishing) girls’ trip coming up, then we’re headed to Springfield, Missouri for the annual Bass Fishing Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The trip I’m really excited about will take place in October, when we head down to Louisiana for a photography lesson while kayaking in the swamp with BASS photographer Andy Crawford. I can’t wait to report back on that — maybe you need to brush up on your camera skills, too?

In between, there will be plenty of time to tell you about trip options in MexicoGuatemalaBrazilAlaskaLouisiana and Panama. Please don’t hesitate to reach out — I want you to experience your bucket list fishing trip in 2025 or 2026.
