What’s New with Yo-Zuri
Yo-Zuri produces hundreds of products for fresh and saltwater anglers, and the company continues to innovate with new designs.
This year they added a few new sizes of products as well as offering one of their most popular lures in a freshwater version. They also increased their already impressive lineup of saltwater lures with some new colors that should be a hit for stripers and other popular gamefish.
Here is a rundown of what is new with Yo-Zuri...
Freshwater Crystal Minnow
The Crystal Minnow may be Yo-Zuri’s most popular lures of all time. This saltwater jerkbait has caught countless species, and now they have a new version designed specifically for freshwater anglers.
The design and great action of the bait remain the same, but they have bass specific colors and freshwater hardware to make it more appealing to bass anglers.
The lure has a unique holographic finish and comes in tons of great colors. New for the bass market is Black Silver, Blue Silver, Real Blue Back Herring, Real Glass Minnow, Real Golden Shiner, Real Perch, Real Smelt and Sexy Shad.
The Crystal Minnow is built to swim erratically and down to its running depth and stay there thanks to the great suspending action. It comes in three sizes: 90 (1/4 oz.), 110 (1/2 oz.) and 130 (3/4 oz.) to match a wide range of situations and forage. All of the sizes dive 3- to 4-feet.
New Sizes of the 3DB Knucklebait
The Knucklebait is a unique wire bait with round plastic ball instead of a traditional spinner. It was released last year, and this year they added a smaller version and also three new colors.
The Knuckle Bait looks much like a spinnerbait with a skirted hook, weighted head, and wire. The difference is the “knuckle” that wobbles and gives it a unique action as it is retrieved. The balls are available in both solid and 3D Prism patterns.
New for 2018 is the ¼ oz. and 5/8 oz. versions as well as three new colors: Black & Blue, Chartreuse White, and Bluegill.

New Colors for the Yo-Zuri Crystal Minnow
As mentioned earlier, the Crystal Minnow is a staple for Yo-Zuri. They added several new colors for the 3 ½”, 4 3/8”, 5 ¼” and magnum 6 ½” baits. The new colors are available in both the floating and sinking version and feature the bright prismatic finish the 3D baits are known for producing. The new colors include Real Bunker, Real Mullet, Real Glass Minnow.
For the standard (non 3D) version, Bone is a new addition to the color lineup.
Yo-Zuri H.D. Carbon Disappearing Pink
This line is one of Yo-Zuri’s most popular fishing lines.
The leader specific H.D. Carbon Disappearing Pink is now available in bulk sizes of 500-yard spools. The H.D. Carbon is a saltwater specific line and comes in sizes ranging from 20 to 80-pound test.
Pink is one of the first colors to disappear underwater and this 100% fluorocarbon leader is nearly invisible underwater. It is abrasion resistant and is also available in 30 and 100-yard spools.
New Colors for the Mag Darter
The Mag Darter is a favorite bait for a variety of species. It has a unique lip that gives it an erratic darting action under the surface. The movement is said to be very natural, and the bait casts well even into the wind. T
he original is a 5” bait, and they have recently released a 6 ½” version and added two new colors for the whole lineup. The two new colors are School Bus (yellow), and Black Purple and both are available in both the 5” and 6.5” sizes.

New Colors for the Hydro Minnow LC
The Hydro Minnow LC is a saltwater minnow style bait that was built to cast long distances in all conditions. They get the casting distance from the weight transfer system as well as the shape of the bait.
It comes in two sizes, a 6” and 6 ¾” version that has been designed for everything from stripers from the beach to inshore species along the coast. This year there are two new colors of this bait. Yellow Mullet and Black Purple.
Yo-Zuri continues to innovate and add new products for both bass and saltwater anglers. This year many of their latest products were expansions of their already popular lineup. New sizes and colors were the most significant things they added this year as they continue to produce some of the best lures and fishing lines available.
