Panama in November

Panama. November. Join Us.

On the invitation of a friend, we made our first trip to Panama in April and we stumbled onto an unquenchable obsession — great service, great food, remote location, and THE BEST TOPWATER STRIKES WE’VE EVER EXPERIENCED IN OUR LIVES

As we drove the boat to each “tuna boil” — with diving birds, jumping yellowfin and marauding dolphins, I felt the same adrenaline rush that I used to get in tournament fishing during the first morning run when I was headed to what I was sure was the winning spot, the clarity in my head offset by the feeling that my heart was going to pump through my chest.

Then, when we arrived at the tuna, it exceeded those expectations. Violent topwater strikes and pound-for-pound the strongest fish we’ve chased. Of all of my fishing experiences across the globe this might have been my favorite. Now you can experience it as well. We’re headed back to Sport Fish Panama Island Lodge from November 6 to 12, and there should still be excellent tuna fishing, but it’s also prime time for marlin and we’ve chosen dates when the tides will be perfect for inshore species including cubera snapper and roosterfish.
