A portion of the South Coast is now closed

UPDATE: A portion of the South Coast is now closed to recreational crabbing due to high domoic toxin levels. Recreational bay crabbing remains open from the Washington border to Bandon. It is closed from Bandon to the California border. For more information, see this website - https://www.oregon.gov/oda/programs/foodsafety/shellfish/pages/shellfishclosures.aspx

Did you know that ODA tests for shellfish toxins twice per month, as tides and weather permit? Reopening an area closed for biotoxins requires two consecutive tests with results below the closure limit.
Looks like it's time to go crabbing!
