Pursuit Channel Welcomes Jimmy Houston and Others

Pursuit Channel Welcomes Outdoors' Brightest Stars

Glendale, AL – The Pursuit Channel announces 2018 broadcast distribution agreements with three of the most prominent television series in outdoor entertainment. Jimmy Houston Outdoors, Trailing the Hunter's Moon and Trophy Hunters TV will all be joining the Pursuit Channel next year.

With this move to America's largest outdoor network, Jimmy Houston will be celebrating his 40th season as a national television host. "Mr. Jimmy Houston is likely the most recognizable outdoors enthusiast in the world," said Rusty Faulk, CEO of Pursuit Channel. "Seeing another one of the really good guys become part of the Pursuit Channel family is a great reward, not only for our viewers, but for fans like me who've found inspiration in Jimmy's abilities as a professional fisherman, his integrity and his engaging personality. What a distinct honor it is to welcome Jimmy Houston Outdoors to Pursuit Channel!"

The multiple Hall-of-Fame inductee has fished more than 300 B.A.S.S. and FLW competitions. Millions of the most serious Jimmy Houston fans rightfully consider him a best buddy without having met him in person, revering him for his work with charities and conservation organizations, his faith, his humility and his accomplished skills as a turkey hunter.

Trailing the Hunter's Moon presented by Dallas Safari Club will join Jimmy Houston on Pursuit Channel in 2018. The show's creator and host, "Mr. Whitetail" Larry Weishuhn, is among the most widely held outdoor television personalities to emerge in the past 20 years, thanks to his abilities as a communicator and to his academic and hands-on background as a wildlife manager. "Larry truly is a trained professional when it comes to the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation, which, together with the low-key friendliness of a proper Texas gentleman, makes him as easy to watch and appreciate as anyone who has ever worked in outdoor television," said Faulk.

Trophy Hunters TV, the national television component of the Texas Trophy Hunter's Association, will also return to Pursuit Channel in 2018 to celebrate 20 years of award-winning television production. Launched in 1975 by Jerry Johnston – another Texan with penchants for deer hunting, original ideas (TTHA was patently inventive) and promotion – Trophy Hunters TV remains at the top of any conversation regarding the longest running and most-watched shows in outdoor television history.
