American Tackle Hosts International Rod Building Competition

(Oviedo, FL.) American Tackle Company is pleased to announce becoming the host of the 2021 International Rod Building Competition. This is another effort to deliver to custom rod builders more opportunity to showcase their ingenuity, creativity, and craftsmanship. Our goal is to make this event bigger and better than ever, while making custom rod building more exciting and widely recognized. We are proud to have the opportunity host an event dating back to 2015. Founded by the “Munich Rod Man” Mark Crouse the competition has brought participants from all over the globe. With over 5 dozen builders signed up so far this is the biggest competitive rod building event ever!

This year’s annual event will be judged by a panel of judges of experienced rod builders and industry experts. Judging will take place at the International Custom Rod Building Exposition, only the Top-10 rods will be judged for Grand Champion. If the 2021 ICRBE is cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, alternative measures will be taken and announced at another date.

This esteemed competition has received participants from; Taiwan, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Singapore, Panama, Austria, Indonesia, China, Italy, Hungary, Brazil, Spain, Canada, Portugal, and the USA. Rod themes have ranged from baseball bat handles, candy themes, fish theme, using one of a kind jeweler made components as well as hand carved handles and grips.
