IRVINE, Calif. 11/9/12 – Shimano American Corporation breaks ground today on an expansion to the distribution center at its Irvine, Calif. headquarters, announces Dave Pfeiffer, company president. “This investment, combined with our East Coast distribution center expansion project started last month, will help us to improve our operational capabilities to better service our customers,” Pfeiffer said.

The Irvine facility (1 Holland, Irvine, CA 92618) will grow 48,000 square feet in distribution space, and an additional 3,000 square feet in office space, notes Allen Johnston, Shimano’s senior manager of operations. “With our expansion plans both in Irvine and at our distribution center in Ladson, S.C.,” said Pfeiffer, “ we’ll improve the efficient handling and shipping logistics of our brands – leading to benefits to all our business partners. ”
