Team Longhorn Grabs Day One Lead at PAA Corporate Cup presented by OPTIMA® Batteries

Florence, Ala. – The weights are in and the boats are on the trailer headed to the Shoals Marriott to go over game plans as day one of the PAA Corporate Cup presented by OPTIMA® Batteries is in the books. The four angler team of Bassmaster Elite Series pros Jeff Kriet, Derek Remitz, Bill Jackson and Warren Jackson thrilled the crowd at McFarland Park with a 31.55-pound 10 bass limit of Pickwick Lake bass to grab the day one lead.

Not to be outdone, the Timberghost team, headlined by FLW Tour pros Andy Morgan and Luke Clausen and partners Stephen Fox and Billy Brindle followed closely with a 29.23-pound bag of their own. Their impressive limit that was anchored by Clausen’s 7.40-pound Pickwick Lake largemouth that sent the spectators into a frenzy.

In 3rd place was the T-H Marine team of Steve Kennedy, Brent Crow, Bill Huntley and Charles Perkins Jr., who brought their own solid 28.26-pound 10 bass limit to the scales to place the Corporate Cup Sponsor team in contention for the title of Corporate Cup Champions.

Rounding out the top five were the Haynes Hardwood Floors Team of Mark Rose, Greg Hackney, Randy Haynes and Tony Browning who weighed 27.46 pounds. Followed by the TS Electric Team of Guy Eaker, Paul Elias, Tim Sisk and Jason Wilson, who weighed 27.86 pounds.
