Bring the kids along - youth licenses (required for ages 10-17) are only $5 and are valid for a year.
This is an ideal time to get outside and fish or hunt:
- You can’t beat the weather in our desert regions this time of year.
- Our core Community Fishing Program waters in the Phoenix and Tucson metro areas are stocked with trout every two weeks.
- Trout are also being stocked in some state waters in the desert regions.
- Arizona offers great dove hunting; the late dove season this year runs from Nov. 25 through Jan. 8.
- Quail season is in full swing for Gambel’s and scaled quail; Mearns’ quail season begins Dec. 2. Both seasons (see pages 88-89) run through Feb. 12.
- This is also a good time of year to hunt other small game such as cottontails(see pages 80-81) and tree squirrels (see page 78-29).
Remember, the discounted price for short-term licenses is only available when you purchase online between Nov. 23-27, 2016.
