Things Are Getting a Little Bit Crazy

In recent weeks we’ve been deluged with texts and emails asking about the cheating scandal in the walleye world. That’s not the only place that such discrepancies caught our eyes — there was a major kerfuffle in the chess community, too. Then we heard that there was ballot stuffing during Fat Bear Week. That one hit perhaps even closer to home than the walleye deal because fishing amongst the bears in Katmai National Park is one of the bucket list destinations we book for. We’re headed back in the late summer of 2022, and I promise that you don’t want to miss it. We may not be able to tell you which one is the fattest bear, but we can just about guarantee that if you go you’ll have the trip of a lifetime, catching fish as the fatties waddle by. I promise you that if you join us at Bear Trail Lodge next summer, you won’t feel cheated in the slightest. Email me or call me at 703-932-6299 to get the details on this amazing adventure.

It’s been a busy fall. We’ve already been to Ballard’s Black Island Lodge on Lake of the Woods, then to the Swimbait Universe Gathering and then to the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Missouri (with a little bit of dropshotting on Table Rock Lake), and next up is Round Three of tuna popping in Panama. If you didn’t go on a trip with us this year, why not? Seriously, the clock is ticking, and 2023 spots are filling up. Reach out to me and let’s get you headed someplace magical to experience the angling trip of a lifetime.

We’ve also been writing like crazy — five or six pieces of content per week. Here are some recent favorites you might have missed:

As always, keep the comments and emails coming. We love hearing from you about our content, and also about ideas you might have for future pieces. Most of all, stay healthy and live your dreams.
