Big Bend, WI (June 8, 2005) – The only television network dedicated exclusively to hunting and fishing programming, The Sportsman Channel, is pleased to announce the U.S. Coast Guard is officially on board sponsoring Friday night’s exclusive fishing programming, Friday Night Fish Fry, starting on July 4th.   

The Sportsman Channel (TSC) is dedicated exclusively to airing quality hunting and fishing programming with no infomercials or variety content – not even overnight. The Friday evening line up will include such quality programs as, Lunkerville, The Dimestore Fisherman and The Angler’s Experience.   

“We are very pleased the U.S. Coast Guard sees value in our programming as a way to reach out to anglers with an important message during this Friday night block,” stated Todd Hansen, Sr. Vice President of TSC. “This just shows that our sponsors realize the high value of our network dedicated to the serious sportsman.”   

The U.S. Coast Guard joins other major marketers supporting the ad-based channel such as Cabela’s and Walker’s Game Ear. TSC named a brand new night of programming on Sundays titled Sunday Night Sportsman, while Walker’s Game Ear promotes Big Game Thursdays. Other evening blocks of programming include Monday Night Bow & Blackpowder, Woods & Waters Tuesdays and Wednesday Night Wing Shooting. Instead of offering motor-cross sports or other variety programming during these evenings, sportsman can tune into TSC for an evening dedicated to the genre they love, be it coastal fishing, whitetail tracking or duck calling.
