VETERAN ANGLER LARRY NIXON REVIEWS WAL-MART FLW TOUR ATCHAFALAYA BASIN STOP ON 'FLW OUTDOORS&#39

MINNEAPOLIS (Feb. 24, 2004) — On the upcoming episode of “FLW Outdoors,” veteran angler Larry Nixon will talk with Fujifilm pro Sam Swett of Covington, La., who recently won $100,000 cash at stop No. 2 along the Wal-Mart FLW Tour. Also on the show will be the second-place finisher from the Feb. 11-14 event on Louisiana’s Atchafalaya Basin, Tom Monsoor of La Crosse, Wis., who lost by a mere 10 ounces but still netted $37,000 in the process. Rounding out the guest list will be Team Kellogg’s pro Dave Lefebre of Erie, Pa.

The show – airing March 14 on the Outdoor Life Network – will take an in-depth look at the final day of competition on the Atchafalaya Basin as the crew follows Team Castrol pro Mike Surman of Boca Raton, Fla., who finished in eighth place. Additional spots will include an advanced angling segment on flipping with Stratos pro Andy Morgan of Dayton, Tenn., and a Minn Kota Minute with pro Jeremiah Kindy of Benton, Ark., who is in his second season on the FLW Tour. Kindy, already having amassed an impressive 14 top-10s in other FLW Outdoors events, is looking for his first top-10 finish on the FLW Tour.

Swett, who was the hometown favorite at Atchafalaya, will talk about how he fished to win the event and how it felt to take home the largest single check of his career. Monsoor will talk about his strategy out on the water during the tournament and the nail-biting conclusion that was decided by the weight of one fish.
