The one-hour show is the first of a two-part series covering the sport's most prestigious championship for weekend anglers and concludes with the winning co-angler receiving a check for $50,000. This year's championship marks the 21st anniversary of the first $100,000 award in competitive bass fishing. That historic award was presented to 1984 All-American champion Shaw Grigsby of Gainesville, Fla., for his victory on the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes in Florida.
The July 3 show presents multiple mini-features with several of the boaters who were in contention after two days of competition. The features include Robert Beatty of Clermont, Fla.; Brian Hickey of Cadiz, Ky..; Kim Carver of Milledgeville, Ga.; Wade Ramsey of Midwest City, Okla.; Jarrod Hembree of Berea, Ky.; and Arnie Lane of Lakeland, Fla. Lane is the brother of Bobby Lane, who earned three consecutive top-10 finishes in his rookie season on the Wal-Mart FLW Tour.
