On Saturday, May 13, 2017, the Lake Elsinore Bass Club along with National Bass West, are holding the 10th Annual Bass Fishing Tournament at Lake Hodges for the purpose of honoring soldiers who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). This event will pair an experienced bass fisherman with two service members in order to provide a guided fishing day. We’ve organized a truly exceptional day and unique event. Our proposed event is similar to fishing on a guided boat tour with a Bass Pro.
By way of introduction, our local club is a registered non-profit angler organization. Over the years we’ve successfully hosted many bass tournaments for our membership and now desire to share our experience with deserving military members. In conjunction with the Warrior Foundation, we anticipate two hundred (200) service members participating in this tournament.
The Bass Club and Volunteer Bass Pros are providing all the necessary equipment, food and beverages for the event. For instance, the Bass Pro will provide the service members with all the fishing equipment, such as personal floatation device, fishing pole, artificial bait and tackle.
The Bass Club is looking for sponsors to provide all the food and beverages for a BBQ at the end of the fishing tournament along with a tent to house the event and keep the warriors and anglers out of the sun.
These military members served their Country and deserve a show of appreciation from their fellow countrymen. The Bass Club is seeking the help of sponsors to demonstrate pride, heart and leadership by contributing to this volunteer effort. 100% of the donations including the raffle , go directly to the Warrior Foundation and the warriors needs. The Warrior Foundation is staffed 100% by volunteers.
Free entry into the lake, free launch, free parking, free breakfast, free BBQ lunch, Valet parking, Valet Pickup so that they anglers do not have to leave their boat. Fish until 1 p.m.then eat and award ceremony and HUGE raffle!
