Post was just made don pedro is doing full shut down. This is getting ridiculous you can go out for a walk and get fresh air but you can’t take your boat to go fishing? Pretty sure you get less exposure on the lake! Just wanted to post so people save there gas making a trip. Tulloch is still open and so far melones is but I heard talk of melones closing too so we will see. Enjoy your fresh air walk.

From Lake Amador Resort

EVEN MORE UPDATES:

For now the only changes are:
1. We will be closing our RV park for the weekend.
2. NO tent camping will be allowed.
3. General store items by request at window.

Anyone that’s here may stay but nobody coming in will be allowed to occupy any sites in the RV Park. The proximity of sites in the RV Park are much closer than the campground and invite the opportunity for a breach of proper social distancing.
There will be no tent camping allowed as we are closing all campground bathrooms and we don’t want any possibility of human waste ending up on the ground or in dumpsters.
So...
-THE CAMPGROUND IS STILL OPEN
-SELF CONTAINED RV’S or TRAILERS ONLY!
-NO TENT CAMPING!
-CAMP BATHROOMS ARE CLOSED
-CLUBHOUSE BATHROOMS ARE OPEN
-THE CAFE IS OPEN FOR TO GO ORDERS
-GENERAL STORE ITEMS BY REQUEST ONLY!
-FISHING IS A OK
-DISC GOLF IS A OK

ONLY THE RV PARK AND CAMP BATHROOMS ARE CLOSED FOR THE WEEKEND

This is one of those situations where everything changes day by day and we apologize for having to adapt to this situation on such a short notice basis but it’s for everyone’s safety and we have to abide by the rules that govern us.

Anyone know if Brennan island or other surrounding ramps are open or have been officially closed? Brennan's website says the state parks are closed but non-campground areas are still open. Anyone know?

by Charles » Fri Mar 20, 2020 3:29 pm

Folsom is also a state park and it is OPEN. I would imagine that Brannan Island is also open.

I just received a call from Dave Wilson letting me know that the Lake Casitas campgrounds have been closed to any new camping but Lake Casitas is OPEN and allowing boats to launch.

The Marina Cafe is OPEN as well!

The bad news... The diversion is not running, but the lake reached 42% yesterday from the water that was diverted and from Santa Ana Creek and surrounding watershed during that last storm.

Attention Boaters and Fishers:

Effective Immediately, per order of the Lake County Health Officer and supported by the Lake County Sheriff, Lakeport and Clearlake City Police Chiefs, and the Lake County Department of Water Resources, there is a restriction on the sale of non-resident quagga mussel stickers for water crafts or water vessels entering Lake County from other counties or states. This order is in effect immediately and until further notice.

The purpose of this order is to reduce incoming visitor traffic that would increase the probability of spreading the coronavirus COVID-19 within Lake County. It is imperative, for the safety of the vulnerable members of our population and to reduce stress on our limited health care services, that we reduce potential vectors or introductions of this virus. This order is to coincide with ORDER OF THE HEALTH OFFICER No. C20-3, released March 18, 2020.

If you have questions or concerns regarding the virus please send an email to MHOAC@lakecountyca.gov or call the Public Health Office (707) 263-8174.

If you have questions regarding the Mussel Sticker Program you can call Lake County Water Resources (707)263-2344 M-Th 8AM -5PM or by email water.resources@lakecountyca.gov.

Below are some relevant definitions:
Water craft or vessel means any trailered watercraft, or jet ski, or float plane capable of being launched into a water body within the County of Lake except as specifically exempted herein. Canoes, kayaks, car-top boats, float tubes, rafts, wind surfers/boards, boogey boards, nonmotorized paddle boats, and nonmotorized sail boats that are eight (8) feet or less in length are not considered water vessels for purposes of this article and are thereby exempt from the provisions herein.
Resident water vessel is defined as:
1. A vessel that has been issued a DMV registration that identifies its owner as being physically located within the borders of Lake County.
2. A vessel whose owner can demonstrate that it is moored or stored at a commercial facility located in Lake County.
3. Any other means deemed acceptable by the Director of Water Resources as to proof of residency in Lake County providing that the vessel is on the Lake County Assessor's current unsecured tax roll for boats

Attempted Launch means an effort to launch a water vessel into a water body within the County of Lake as defined herein which, within one hundred fifty (150) feet of a water body and on a public launch ramp, evidenced an endeavor to accomplish the launching of a water vessel, carried beyond mere preparation, but falling short of the ultimate execution of launching. In addition to any and all indication of such attempts, directing a water vessel to within fifty (50) feet of a water body within the County of Lake shall be deemed to be an attempted launch.

Boaters are reminded that launching or attempted launching from any ramp on Clear Lake or any waterbody in Lake County, without a valid 2020 Quagga Mussel sticker is in violation of County Code Chapter 15-56 (Ord. No. 2936, § 1, 1-25-2011) and liable to a $100 - $1000 fine, or in certain circumstances, the water vessel can be impounded pursuant to a misdemeanor arrest or issuance of a misdemeanor citation.

Pyramid Lake Recreation Area and CampgroundLike Page

Largemouth and Smallmouth bass have been starting to bite more frequently around the lake and along the shoreline as well on various types of baits. Using soft plastics drop shot, texas rigged or jigs have been working well along with some deeper diving jerk baits and crankbaits as well. The water is back up so the rip rap infront of the boat shop is a great spot to hit with weightless baits and the canal along the entrance booth has been a great spot for stripers and occasional trout. Anchovies have been working well to catch stripes from the banks along with trolling umbrella rigs or deep jerk baits around Chumash Island, Yellowbar and Serrano as well. Catfish have also been biting all over the lake on sardines, anchovies, and chicken liver down deep, bait and wait style.

***We are currently still open***

Gates are open from 7am - 6pm.
Boat Rentals from 7am - 2pm and are due back by 4pm.
Private Watercrafts can launch until 3pm and are due off the water no later than 5 pm.

Los Alamos Campgrounds are currently closed but the lake is still open at this time and we are taking extra sanitary precautions for everyone's safety and appreciate your help as well in keeping a clean environment to enjoy during these times.

We will notify everyone of any changes to lake hours (if any are to arise).
