I just don"t like the idea of not being able to prefish and work hard at a lake I only get to fish every couple of months. I still spend alot of time in So Cal and would like the flexibility to fish when I can get on the water, not just the weekend before.

And how come everytime Bills momma gets brought up, he has to bring up my momma? Is it because he is just upset that mine is better looking and makes more money than his? Have you guys seen his momma? Its not a pretty sight!

I second the nomination ( Pineapple for Pres)!

Look Phua I gave you my phone number and address dont call me name's on this forum.I have nothing against tournament's or people that fish them.

If you plan on being a true professional you may want to curb your temper and name calling it's very weak.

Yah Michael Phua....Don't call me "name's" either. If you do, I'll call you a name right back!
By the way, true Professionals would make waaaaay more than $50k on their BIG SHOW debut. Maybe an attitude adjustment is in order.

Is it going to be the UGLYest mamma picture or should they get dressed up with makeup? Eric's mamma keeps Maybeline in business. Im a LOVER not a cage match kinda of guy. Can I pay someone to take my spot in the Cage match? This is not going to be something that changes the rules after it starts, is it?

Now Mickey, don't get personal, only my mama calls me Billy Boy and Eric's Mamma and half of the Catholic church but that it. Maybe Peteeeee once in awhile but that's it. Also Hutch but that's it and PUA but nobody else. In the middle of working out for the cage match, I don't want to hear working out is off limits, of course I beleive if anybody is going to change a rule it would be you.

I agree 100% for the fishermen that have jobs and or not able to fish during the week like some teams who can at there free will any day, any time.

It's just one small way to help level the playing field, I mean hell theres a select few with unprecedented access to lakes before they are open to the public and know every structure on the lake before its filled with gps cordinates... Is that fair? HELL NO! Yet they continue to destroy the field at almost each and every tournament at DVL. They are winning for a reason, they had access to the lake before it was filled and know its design if you will and have all the free time in the world to prefish the lake to fully understand what the fish are doing any particular week.

Having OFF limits at least makes everyone prefish the same days till the cut off.

engineeringBASS wrote:Here is my view on this. I am a newbie and i can't always pre-fish during the week, however i know for a fact that the top 5 teams fish thurs or friday before and they always do well. I know they are also good fisherman but i think DVL changes so often that you get a great advantage if you fish just before a tournement. I have seen this first hand.

I think a thur-fri off-limits would work and you can still fish when the lake is lite on boats.

Just wanted to put my 2 cents in.

I dont fish tournament's so I am nothing but an ***.

Bet your sponser's love that.

Mike I am willing to let this go.Sorry as an outsider I have come across wrong.I am not a part of the tournament scene so perhap's I should not have even responded.

I am sure you are a very great guy and I hope this is the end of this. But as an outsider aint the whole idea to get more guy's like myself involved.Lord know's I am not going to be threat out on the lake.

Mike I am man enough to admit I may have been wrong, but the clown comment kinda hurt.I love to fish,Surf Purch or Striper's off the beach at Moss Landing,Bass at Nacimiento or Los Banos Creek.Salmon on my Grady or Leapord Shark and Bat Ray's in Elkhorn Slough.

Or whatever I have the 519DVS big version 20'6 BAD *** BOAT and not sure it will be used until Salmon season is over.

Thank's alot

UFF...

Post by Kbeever »

10 minute later, I am still reading this thread. This could now be named the UFF "Ultimate Fighting Forum".

I could only imagine I am not the only one who isn't making any sales today looking at how many posts there are. (BSF would be another name for the forum Bored Saleman Forum)

I missed Phua's and Cervanka posts, but I know they do not sugar coat anything, I am sure they got their opponents to tap out.

As to Rick's initial post, I too was in favor of the no prefish last year...... until it actually went into force. I then realized that I couldn't go up the day before and prefish. I live in an 1-2 hours away from the San Diego circuit that I fish. In the past, I would prefish and then just spend the night to avoid another 3 -4 hour round trip journey...which this year I couldn't do and missed a couple opportunities to prefish because I had plans the weekend before.

My finishes are the same as last year. The only way I think it will be fair is if the tournament directors make all of guys who finish high fish without hooks....and then maybe I would have a chance to win

Peace out!

I never said it was because you or your dad or anyone fished it before thus equating to you winning tournaments. What I was saying is that going back to arguement of whether preefishing , and off limits were good or bad... The rule was put there to help level the playing field so people who have have jobs and or other commitments can have a equal shot at any tournament. Where someone who doesn't have those reponsibilities can fish nigh t and day and any time thus giing them a leg up at know what is going on at the lake... and what the fishare doing.

and as far as going back to the whole ewww he fished the lake before it was open comment, its hardly that. Its a public lake and anyone who says they don't check out where other anglers fish are lying plain and simple.

I sure as hell admit it, its one way of increasing your chances with educating yourself with good information and then putting it to use when thetime calls for it. I do agree that is any person ran over to "THE SPOT" or any spot and began overcrowding it then feel free to protest it and make a big stink about it.

Instead of trying to get mathews open, it seems to me that there is a MWD lake a few miles south of DVL, that despite popular opinion, has lmb in it, large average size to boot that has NO tournaments. I know tournament fishermen & organizations prefer having tournaments when it is WFO so everyones egos can be massaged, hence all of the pressure at DVL during the new lake syndrome that it is experiencing at the moment. there are other lakes that are utilized sparingly if at all. lets use what is already available to us...... as for the off limits, keep it, except for 1/2 price wednesdays, as to better simulate weekend conditions with the rental boat floatilla. I love fishing on weekdays and having the lake to myself more or less.
