R2S Swimbaits

Post by Quantum_Kid »

Has anyone used the new R2S "Kong" swimbaits? They look pretty realistic, although I don't know how they hold up. Here is the link to it:

It comes in two sizes. I think it is a 6 1/2 in and a 9 in.

Let me know what you guys think!

Kong will retail for $34.99, both sizes.

All of our big baits come with a set of replacement tails, this one we included fins too, just in case.

Does it work? I mean, does it catch fish?

I think that a replacement tail and fins is a great idea on these types of baits. Just my two cents worth, which is usually worthless :D

Thanks to those who replied.

that's a great price for a 9" hard bait...how much are the replacement fins/tails when you run out?

I'm sure that you will find it effective.

There will be an article coming in BASS WEST USA by Sean James one of our Guide Pro staffers who has been using the bait in SoCal.

Kong should be available within the next two to three weeks.

Several dealers have pre-ordered, so they will be shipped as soon as they land.

HOW DOES IT DIFFER IN SWIM STATUS FROM WOODEN SLITHER HARD BAIT, WE WERE TALKED INTO STOCKING A FEW OF THE WOODEN SLITHER, OF WHICH WE GAVE AWAY TWO AND STILL HAVE TWO THAT HAVE BEEN ON THE SHELF FOR A YEAR NOW? I SEE MAYBE PRICE IS CHEAPER AND THAT COULD BE THE DIFFERENCE TO THE PUBLIC? SWIM CHARACTER? FLOATING, SINKING STATUS, IS THERE ANY ??? INFACT IF ANYONE NEEDS A WOODEN SLITHER TROUT AND A HITCH, THEY ARE ON SALE FOR $ 20.00 EACH NEXT WEEK.
