Hey JT - You ought to give Steve Biechman's rods a try. I have his jig rod and it is in a word - AWESOME. Sensitive, strong and a great action. If you want to try one out, I will have mine at the NutCase event on Dec. 16th (if you are coming). If not, let me know and I can let you take it out for a trip to try.

JT, Good things happen to those who wait :). Hang in there it shouldn't be a whole bunch longer. Gary's just anal about a rod that is going to actually have his name on it. I can't say that I blame him :).

Mark -

You order them directly from Steve at StevesCustomRods.net. You can request info and he will call you to discuss your needs/wants and will build the specific rod you want.

Gary told me the other day about mid-December. Had a few more actions to get dialed in. Dude only accepts perfection. Nothing wrong with that. Rick G.

Hey JT...

...don't forget that it was Gary Dobyns who designed ALL of the original powell max rods. If you think his older, first generation dropshot rod was great, wait until you see his new Dobyns dropshot rod! Trust me, it will be well worth the wait.
