Re: Yamaha Vmax 250 SHO

I have been reading allot about the new SHO also. Here is something I found shocking recently when they tested 2 brand new boats with a 250 Pro XS and a 250 SHO. Same driver, same model boat, same setup. The Merc beats the SHO overall in fuel mileage, and is a bit faster it looks like. The oil cost ...

Re: Thanks for supporting Anglers Marine/FINS

Thanks Art and Rick for scheduling these things. And a special thanks to all the staff at Anglers for running the event and staying late for these things, some have went until almost 10 pm. My kid and I have enjoyed them over the last 2 years very much. She gets a real kick out of the casting kids c...

These are very well ran events and it is awesome to have the lakes to yourselves. The payout is great and so are the 2 meals they provide. All you SOCAL guys need to come down for sure.
See you there.

Re: Stole: my 25 HP Honda 4 stroke at Russo's

Michael, terribly sorry to hear about that man. God knows who did it and will bring the wrath down on them! I think that is rare at Russo's from what I seen a few weeks ago. The guy who took me fishing left his window down on his truck, and his keys right on top of the console in plain site, on purp...

Re: Boaters don't leave open compartment for Co's

I just fished the Delta and Clear Lake last week with 2 pro's and they both had a compartment for me. It may distinguish between true pro's and guys who just have the money to fish as a pro. Both of my guys were top notch and left no doubt they were true pro's. Thanks Phillip and Jason, you guys rock!

Re: Fishing vs Family Tough choice? You decide!

As it has been said, family first! I coach my daughters softball 10 months out of the year. Rec ball followed by all stars, and then winter ball. With very careful planning, I still make about 20-25 tournaments a year, given I have to fish a night series and a local club to feed my competitive side,...

HELP A NAVY GUY OUT PLEASE-DELTA/CLEAR LAKE

I am coming up to NORCAL to visit my inlaws and will have a 3 day window to fish on the delta. I would love to get on the water 1 or 2 of these days July 7th-9th. I am in the Navy here in SD and I am afraid to drag my boat up there to fish those few days, because of the other 8 days we are there the...

Re: So how many boats did Top Stick

Several reasons for a bad turn out, at least from the SD guys today. There is an ABA at Otay, and a Fed at El Cap this weekend. 3 clubs already had club events today, at Hodges. The final straw is probably how tough the bite has been there lately. They should have changed their date when they change...

Try using a big bright colored square bill crankbait. I like the tomato craw colored Lucky craft BDS4. That fish in that tree has probably seen a bunch of jigs, senko's spinnerbaits etc... But I bet he hasn't seen to many giant crankbaits busting through his brushpile.

I can't believe they are going to fish the Arkansas River for the Sooner Run in 2010. There are to many great lakes in that area, and typically they fish Grand. I will be back in Oklahoma by then, I may have to go check that one out. They better hope for lots of rain that spring, or they will all ne...

Re: Trim hydraulic busted - any advice???

The fill cap should be on the top, left side, of the unit. It has a large flat head screwdriver top. If the motor will not trim up, you need to vent it off using the vent on the bottom right side. Unscrew it counterclockwise and it will vent off and you can raise the motor by hand. Lift the motor al...

Unless things have changed, all BASS federated clubs required all participants to be at least 16 for insurance purposes. Non federated clubs may have their own rule so you would have to check with the club in question. Some allow non boaters to be younger than 16, but I think it is a state law to be...

I got one installed at Classic Sounds in El Cajon. It cost me a little over 400 bucks and I had them install 5 switches to cover all of my most valuable storage areas. It has a dual stage shock sensor that can be set sensitive enough that if you barely touch the hull of my boat it activates with a p...

Boat Thieves with descriptions around San Diego

Ok, with all the other boats being stolen I wanted to share what happened to me 2 weeks ago. I have a description of one of the guys, and the 2 vehicles they use. I had just pulled my boat out front to get ready leave around 4 am. I went around back to close the gate where I keep the boat, and when ...
