Fishing havasu is just like fishing toledo bend or lake fork. Actually, it might be closer to Choke Canyon or Rayburn.... maybe Ray Hubbard?

I was planning on fishing it until I realized it conflicts with the 2nd Central Open on Rayburn.... Bummed, never got to fish a US OPEN yet, keep hearing great things, but already put in entries to BASS for this year.

Windsor inn is cheap if your going for a fishing trip..... Stayed there a few times, think its only $40 a night or so..... Not a family place, more like a hole in the wall....... The Ramada inn now Sunset inn (changed names multiple times) isnt bad either, they have a nice little bar & rest. too.

I have traveled with the hard plano ones, and they work well. Just make sure they are tight in there, use some foam to protect the tips, and obviously take off the reels. Not sure if you use one, but I had the same issue with my F-250 and my boat trailer, and it turned out to be my 7 round to 5 flat adapter that went bad.... Again, probably not the issue, but might be worth checking....
