Re: DVL Speeding Ticket @ NBW tourney
Robert F. A man is driving his wife to the hospital. Really fast. She is in labor. A cop stops him. Does he give the guy a ticket or help him get the poor woman to the hospital? A peace officer in California has DISCRETION to write citations, make arrests, etc in order to keep the peace and/or solve...

Re: DVL Speeding Ticket @ NBW tourney
By the way...here's another tip for you....if you win the fight at the bar, the other guy goes to the hospital and you go to jail. If you win the race to the weigh in, you are the guy who gets the ticket. It's like natural selection.

Re: DVL Speeding Ticket @ NBW tourney
Holy Crap People... please say you would not complain about a deputy for doing his job! Think about what that means. Under California law, any citizen's complaint has to remain in his file for five years, even if he did nothing wrong. So you are willing to affect someone's career, their livelihood, ...

Don't feel bad, Dan. People rarely understand how manly tinkerbell checks can be, I mean it's not like she would hang out with a sissy or anything. You should carry tinkerbell with you with your head held high, knowing that it takes a special kind of man to bravely offer her image in payment for rug...

Re: New from Lowrance for 2008
Are these deputies working on the boat? If so, when a cop is rude you can make a complaint to his dept. If he is aggressive about enforcement, but polite, just watch your speed. If he is young, he probably did not want to be assigned to the lake and belongs in a busier beat with real criminals. He i...

Okay, wait, I dont get it, you're looking at the Chevy, but not the GMC? I got a great price on my truck and interest free financing. My last truck was the ford, 7.3 diesel. I LOVED that truck and the new ford engine will just disappoint you if that is what you have now. The Chevy and the GMC are qu...

Sorry Ray, I can't afford to shoot Lance, I need him to do construction around the house along with his other manly duties. Just wouldn't be practical to cripple him. I did ask him to try to use his skills for good instead of evil, but I don't know if I got through to him.

I need to preface what I am about to say with the disclaimer: I come from a family of hunters, so I am not against hunting. At least for subsistence or game management (since we have stupidly wiped out most of our large predators with civilization), and within those boundaries, hunting to recapture ...
Re: Thank You
Gracious offer Ray, I would love to learn to jig fish. I admit, jigs are a bit of a mystery to me. Poor Lance just wont listen when I tell him my worming technique. Cast, clear my birds nest, check my line, then pull in the fish. It's really very simple. I dont know what he is doing wrong....
Re: Thank You
Don't worry Lance, I dont want to run the front of the boat; too much work. I will however, true to my wifely obligations, be happy to tell you how to drive it and where to park for the best fishing.

Thank You
Today I had the delightful experience of a guided trip with Shawn Bailey. My darling hubby thought I could use a break from a busy workweek and that I might enjoy learning from a pro, so he set me up for a day with Shawn on Casitas, which is my favorite local lake. I had a great time and learned a b...

Hi Korny, lets just say I am a fairly objective observer here, since I rarely compete, but I read alot and know several people who compete, including my husband. Enforcement?
Enforcement seems to be the common argument so far in this debate, but rules and laws for that matter are seldom enforced via a perfect system. Perhaps because of my chosen profession (hi Ron) I can see a simple way to enforce a rule like this one. Scott mentions above that no one has time to be at ...
