E=Mc2, I have 2 Rubber nets, i think they are to heavy,, i do like that they are easy on the fish and the hooks wont get tangled. But if your using the net alone there to heavy.

I am going to switch.. i like the rubber coated cloth nets that frabill makes. but there not cheep.

Jazz, For the medium cover your talking about... Here at Clear Lake when im pitchin down the bank or around docks i use 15lb McCoy Floro 100 or Mean Green in 15lb. For the thick stuff i will step up to 20lb Floro 100. I like the way the 15lb comes off the reel with a light Jig, much less effort and ...

I always have a couple tied on here at Clear Lake, The Hippo Tackle 5" and the Osprey 6"
The Swim Bait bite has slowed down a bit here but when you get one its a nice one! I have been doing well switching back and forth from swim baits to rip baits and jigs.

I change it myself every 2 - 3 years, I put around 300 hrs a year on the outboard.

On my merc it is easy, I did a Yamaha and the only hard part was the impeller keeper key.

Lower Unit oil 2 times a year or more.
Plugs every 2 - 3 years

I loved the original Spider wire..
I have used Power pro but it seems kinda stiff to me.

For the last year or so I have been using the McCoy Mean Green Braid, for the frog and heavy cover rods I use 65lb and for the lighter rods like Sinkos etc.. I like 30lb.

And Watermelon Candy for your Brush Hogs.

For Jig colors try Brown/Purple and Brown/Orange.

Marty, here at Clear Lake I run through lots of thick weeds, they will get in the colling system and can clog it a bit,..

The way I get her cleaned out is to make sure I get up enough speed to get the water pressure up to a normal PSI, then all is well.
