I have the same set up as you do. I let my outboard charge my starting battery. My dual bank charger is attached to both of my trolling batteries, one bank on each battery.

I would inquire more about the engine such as: how many total hours; maintainence records (if any); long periods of lay-up (not so good) or used on a regular basis (sometimes better). Is a trailer involved in the deal, if so consider its condition and what it may need as well.
