Man! Wutup with Gay..I mean Guy...I can't believe your arrogance. A decent guy asks an honest question and you treat him like this? Are you a guide? How can anyone even hire you if you have such an arrogant attitude. You suck!

Bass Hunters on Castaic

I know you can fish these on the lagoon but what is the rule for the big lake? I need something I can fit in my garage and easy to tow. Mind you I have a Triton back in Ohio but they don't make garages out here like back home! http://www.gandermountain.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?i=410404&pd...

Re: SHADS

Thanks. we went Monday. The lake was sooooo low. We threw everything in the way of swim baits, drop shots, cranks etc and no luck. The guy at the boat rental said throw nets are outlawed in California. Other than a seine we use in the rivers back home I am unaware of any other method. Thanks anyway ...

Re: San Diego vs LA

Thanks Guy! We'll go this morning! I suppose it is too much to think that the LA area would have small scattered lakes a few acres in size to fish huh? They're every other mile it seems in PA and Ohio but this used to be a desert out here I guess. Btw, going to scripps this week with the agent to lo...

Re: San Diego vs LA

Hey guys, thanks for your input! I am in LA this week looking around. I took my Dad to Castaic and rented a boat and basically got skunked. we threw everything from 7Am to 1pm. nada. Anyway, are there some really small lakes near LAX that are just quick fun fishing for Bass? I remember someone on th...

Re: STRIPER GONE WIDE F,N OPEN AT CASTAIC

How are you catching the shad? I seine? (sp) I will be hitting Castaic this week to see if I can match my 25 pound striper I just caught last month in Pennsylvania!

I imagine you were using a sinker. What kind of rig is best for the Striper at Castaic? Thanks!

That's awesome. Some of my best memories are as a kid fishing with my Dad. It won't be long before they are dragging you out of bed early on weekends to take them fishing! Very cool!

Re: San Diego vs LA

wow. Barret sounds cool but it looks like you would only be able to get in like once a year huh? Due to the fact that the entrance road passes through private property, all parties must be escorted on and off the premises. Ticketmaster will be handling all reservations for Barrett fishing. The lake ...

Re: San Diego vs LA

hmmm...this is getting really interesting. I am going to be in the San Diego area at the end of October with a real estate looking in Carlsbad, Poway, and Scripps. I'll be looking at the LA area too. I'll post my striper catch if you all want to see it! You guys out there ever hear of the famous Ray...

Re: San Diego vs LA

the other factor is that we have been looking at homes and it is nearly impossible for me to find a house near LAX with accommodations for my bass boat and all my gear and san diego seems to have a bunch of options. Thanks for your replies and anyone else that may have a point of view I would love t...

San Diego vs LA

I'm looking at a possible transfer soon and I will have the choice of the LA (Near LAX) or the San Diego area. Without causing controversy, if you had the choice between the 2 which would you choose if Bass fishing were the deciding factor...which it is for me. LA has Castaic which I have fished a c...
