Delta. Where to launch.

I live in Newman CA (its in the central valley approx 45 min south of stockton) and i am looking into going fishing in the delta. Ive never fished it before and was wondering if anyone knows of any good launching points close to where i live. Thank You for your input.

I am a firefighter. Gives me plenty of time off for fishing. I also like to do model railroading when i have time.
