Re: Trout and Panfish series rod / reel combo

While we're on the subject of light action. When are those 0 power finesse bait casters I saw on the website coming out? For me, that would be the perfect Delta rod for all the 9-11 inch fish I catch. ( Most people call these fish 1.5-2lbers). They're not. They're 9-11 inches. Reminds me of the old ...

Re: Trout and Panfish series rod / reel combo

I bet that Dobyns you mentioned would be a fun rig. I'd go with at least a 1500 or 2000 size reel though. Line can get a little squirrelly with a small diameter spool at times.

Re: Winter Bassin' Bullard’s Bar

So an 8ft spinning rod with a float and fly would be ok? The fly rod is actually a disadvantage compared to a spinning rod with a slip bobber. It's a fixed leader length with the fly rod and it's not an easy rig to cast. I wonder if the old tule dipping method would be effective these days. I stink ...

I've seen the research boats several times over the years and they don't drag their nets where you would expect a largemouth to be. It's probably a good thing they don't. For all we know they'd say there's too many bass and they have to go.

I honestly don't know if my region is under a stay at home order or not. Nothing seems any different when I'm out and about. Doesn't affect me either way but I really hate it for the folks who are being told they can't make a living. Hopefully something changes fast for the better.

No need for SI on the trolling motor. But sure would be nice to have a Livescope up there.
I actually had a triple shot at the helm on my last boat and it was a pretty good unit. Cheap and easy to install. If you're going with the Lowrance up front go with a split shot and a map card.

The phrase you will most likely hear is "we don't have any wiggle room with these tin boats". As far as deciding between the two boats, I personally wouldn't pay the extra for a vexus. They'll both be good boats as long as you get one that was built well. You should take a look at bass boa...
