Silencing LC Pointers?
I am curious to know if anyone has attempted to silence the rattles in a Pointer/jerkbait. If so, what technique worked the best? I would like to try it on one of my Pointer 100sp jerkbaits, but I would like to get some feed back first before I start to modify my lures.

Re: Environmentalists win one !!!!!
Are spots a bad thing? I'm from MN and we don't have them. I've read that they can be a problem for river smallmouth populations when they show up by out-competing the smallies for spawning habitat and resources. Do they do the same with largemouth? I've also read that they can be extremely fun to c...

Re: Scent remover or neutralizer for hands?
I agree. I sometimes think that using scent blockers or artificial scents is more for my own confidence than actually making my presentation more appealing to the fish.

Re: Scent remover or neutralizer for hands?
Mac, if a bass was born and live its life in a system with these pollutants they will undoubtedly consider them to be normal. What would not be normal is what it thinks to be a prey item having any unfamiliar smell/taste. As the book stated, " Dr John Caprio and his LSU research group have show...

Re: Scent remover or neutralizer for hands?
In all honesty, I don't use anything to try and get rid of those unwanted scents, other thasn washing my hands..Stop and think for a moment, with all of the pollutants currently in the water from boat motors, run offs from farms and yards and roadways, do you honestly believe the minute amount rema...

Re: Fish Attractants
I've never used either Bang or Smelly Jelly, so I can't comment on those, but I use Mega Strike. It's water soluble, and a little goes a long way. If the scent isn't water soluble, the fish wont smell it. Carolina Lunker Sauce is another one I like, but it smells something awful! I mean it. Like gag...

Re: Tulloch Launches?
Joe, Kiva Dr. was one of the spots I was thinking about. You say it's no good? The other was Conner Estates Dr. So is it better further up the the Black Creek area?
Are you talking about walking in to the creek itself or the after the creek comes into the lake?

Very nice!
I'm not much for the blade baits though. I've never had much success with them. The spinnerbaits on the other hand....
I think I'll have to grab a few.

Re: Tulloch Launches?
Yup! Rich, I was out there on Monday. It was a good day. I've just been wanting to try Tulloch for awhile now. From looking at it on Google Maps, the Black Creek area looks pretty tasty. Thanks though. That is a good spot. Although I'm not too keen on spending $15 every time I want to go there...

Re: Tulloch Launches?
Yeah, that's what I was afraid of. Maybe I'll try to launch at some of the spots anyway. If they say something I'll take off.
I'm used to fishing around skiers and other pleasure boaters. I had to put up with them at virtually every lake I fished in MN.

Tulloch Launches?
I was wondering if there is any launches, and/or public areas in the Black Creek area I could put in with my float tube? If so, are there charges involved?
I checked out the lake on Google Maps, and it looks like there's a couple spots, but I don't know if they're public or not.
Thanks,
Joe
